Founded by a local lady known as Mrs Tan, this local multi-labels boutique was an epitome for niche European fashion in the 90s. Gone are Barbara Bui, Plein Sud , Christian Lacroix that were stocked in the boutique then. Nowadays, Betty Barclay , Vivienne Tam , Paule Ka and the legendary Vivienne Westwood are the driving force behind TYAN.

A brainchild of Paul Khor in 2008 , this multi-label boutique was a pioneer that brought in exciting labels ; 55DSL, GSUS , Edwin Jeans and House of the Gods then. This streetwear clothing boutique took cues from Tokyo’s Daikanyama and Hollywood Ranch Market. This 2 storey shophouse has every nook and cranny filled with shoes, sandals , caps ,tees , bags and even camping equipment.

Designed by Rei Kawakubo and Adrian Joffe, Singapore became the latest offshoot and it is situated in the Dempsey Road enclave. An incubator for up and coming designers while housing the core designers of Comme Des Garcons , one will be mesmerised by the plethora of clothing , accessories , bags and sneakers.

Retail doyenne Christina Ong discovered Club21 in 1972. The humble origins were at Tanglin Shopping Centre before moving to Four Seasons Hotel.
Club21 is one of Asia’s leading purveyors for luxury fashion.
Her business has grown immensely these past 5 decades with hotels and resorts under her wing and renamed COMO.
For a start, Club21 is an introduction to a novice who is keen to purchase his or her first designer wear.

This boutique used to be in Mandarin Gallery before moving out to an obscure location off Bukit Merah. A purveyor of all things avant garde marrying technology, it has since ceased
operations and went online instead.
SIDEFAME GROUP
This retail group that's headquartered in HongKong had a subsidiary in Singapore in the late 90s and 2000s. Bringing in labels of Anteprima , Anteprima WireBags, Atsuro Tayama , A.T , G-Star Raw , it drew plenty of attention locally. The launch parties were unforgettable. Sadly, the premise for Singapore came to an abrupt end. For those that are looking to satisfy their fix for all the labels stated (sans G-Star Raw) do click on their online website instead.
